Holidays are great, aren't they? They interrupt our normal flow of events and give us something exciting and fun to focus on with our family. With our children, holidays are also a way of focusing them on important values, especially spiritual values that we want to pass on.

In spite of the title, this is an activity book you can use all year long with your own children or in your Sunday School class.

This reproducible workbook contains a variety of educational activities centered around the resurrection of Jesus. My five-year-old son was immediately drawn to the clear artwork and the simple activities that he was able to do - matching beginning sounds or words to pictures, doing a crossword puzzle or word search, practicing penmanship in both print and cursive, coloring, and playing with numbers.
One of the delights of this book is that it is in both English and Spanish! So while the activities in English are a bit on the simple side for my fourth grade daughter, she was intrigued by the Spanish equivalent, and so I can use it with her as well to give her an introduction to another language. This is also an ideal and affordable purchase for use in a church Sunday School class with students who speak both English and Spanish, as you have permission to reproduce the pages for classroom or home use.
In my experience, the best age for these activities (assuming fluency in English or Spanish) is four to seven years old, with its emphasis on beginning literacy activities. With its price of $6.99, it is a welcome addition to your resources for Easter, but need not be restricted to one season at all anymore than the resurrection of Christ should be - we need to be celebrating that every day of the year!
